Talking

It cannot be overstated how important talking is for us all, and even more so if you are struggling with your mental health. You will learn to recognize thoughts that are creating problems, gain a better understanding on how to cope with difficult situations and use new skills learned as part of the process to cope and build confidence.

Talking therapies are an aspect of helping yourself through tough periods, but there is also sufficient evidence to say that you should consider altering some of your habits in your day-to-day life, including introducing more exercise. We as humans are designed to be active and stimulating the body has been demonstrated to have a positive effect on our mental state.

Exercise directly affects the brain and there has been plenty of research done to support the premise that being active will improve your mental health. So, here are some exercising techniques that you might want to try.
Yoga is a good place to start if you are relatively new to the exercise game, and even if you’re not. Some of the benefits to yoga include increased flexibility, muscle strength and improved respiration, energy and vitality. All of these things are gains for your body and mind, and best of all yoga is cheap to start because all you need is a mat and a guide which you can get online.

Supplements

If you are looking for alternatives to the above, maybe a short term fix, you might want to consider the various CBD products. CBD is said to help with mental health disorders, depression and anxiety so might be a good option for you. However, you should keep in mind longer term benefits to treat the causes rather the symptoms.
