Spend Time With Those You Care Most
Today I encourage you to spend time with those you care most in your life. Whenever the power of association comes up, my most common statement is:
“It’s so important in your life to be aware of who you associate with.”
Or at least something along those lines. Anyway, I will continue to say this because I can not stress it enough how important this is. Who you associate with can influence your mood, mindset, habits, and so much more. By changing who you spend time with you can thus change your life around.
So today I encourage you again:
Spend time with those you care most
It’s a simple strategy to determine who you want to be spending time investing in and being around. It’s because of this concept that I’ve begun moving away from my desk and actually spending time outdoors. Part of that is thanks to my older brother, who recently moved back home. Every Tuesday we go with his girlfriend to see a movie. I don’t mind spending the money because I get to spend quality time with my brother.
I wrote in my book I wanted to spend more time with my brother and now that we’re older, we can have more meaningful conversations. I enjoy it as I get to learn about my brother more since earlier in life we were so reserved.
Who you associate with can have a ripple effect in your life.

On Monday I did a video call with one of my writing pals Nikhil, blogger over at Intelligent Citizen. I did this because I want to improve my writing skills, expand my network, and so far I find it empowering that I have someone else who’s committed to growing themselves. It’s also what sparked me to join in a Facebook group filled with bloggers looking to improve themselves.
My point in all of this is who you associate with can have a ripple effect in your life. But also that I genuinely care about these people in my life. I am very grateful for finding a community that has such a positive and interesting outlook. I am grateful for spending time with people that I enjoy their company and want to spend more time with.
Practice this in your life
Take the time to pause and figure out who you care about in your life. In instances where you’re spending time with people you don’t want to, ask yourself “Why?” One thing about our lives is that we’re able to adapt and change at will. That is one of the many super powers that we have. So ask yourself why as there is always a solution to change your environment.

Surround yourself with people that care about you and that in turn will allow you to care for them and for others. I believe everyone can live a positive life and people certainly deserve a positive life.
To your growth!
