Yesterday was a day I felt I was making a fair amount of breakthroughs with. Like yesterday was unique or perhaps I told myself “Let’s do this” so many times that I felt fired up. Regardless I am motivated and driven than before and I wanted to write about this feeling.

But of course I want to share some tactics to get you this feeling as well. Even though this feeling came out of nowhere, I can trace it back to a few things I did yesterday to put me into this more energized mood.

Firstly My Morning Routine

It played a huge role in waking me up and energizing me. Even though I got to it later on in the day, it still gave me the strength to carry through the day. For a recap I am currently doing 100 sit-ups along with 45 push-ups every day. It takes me roughly 4-5 minutes to go through it all.

That being said it is showing results. Yesterday I didn’t take breathers mid exercising like I used to. I went through them and pushed myself further.

Even though my exercising is helping, I know exercising in general is great in the morning. You don’t need to go at the intensity that I’m going. A simple 3 minute stretches would actually make a huge difference. Exercising in of itself provides energy for you, but especially in the morning since you’re still kind of groggy and waking up. Forcing your heart to actually work that early in the morning will get the blood pumping so the other bodily functions will start booting up.

Secondly I Got Excited About My Day

I know for a lot of people, they’re not happy about their jobs. For myself I’m fortunate to have understanding parents but also to have something that makes me happy. Getting excited about that obviously sets a good mood.

However outside of the general environment that I’m in, I also looked at what I was doing. For one I wanted to revamp my website a bit and I’m sure you’ve seen the slight changes that I made. I plan to do a little more in general very soon, however this is very different from what I typically do.

I felt far more productive than I have before.

Even though with my job there is variety, I know even the mundane tasks can have some variety as well. Even though every day feels the same, look over your week and you’ll see there is something different about each day. Get excited about those things, even if they’re not vastly different things than normal.

Even the smallest of events can truly be refreshing and exciting. And that can feed into your overall energy.

Thirdly, I Encouraged Myself Throughout

I literally told myself, “Let’s do this.” several times throughout the day. For me that simple phrase is something that pumps me up. Those three words mean to me it’s time to take action and move forward with our plan or our thoughts.

You don’t necessarily need to use the phrase “let’s do this”, but I feel having a phrase that fires you up can actually help. As I’ve talked about before our words carry weight and certain words have specific significance to us. It’s why our vocabulary can be so different.

True some of it can boil down to our education but not everyone chooses to use every word they learned from reading hundreds of books. Nevertheless certain words can prompt action and motivate us and I noticed myself doing more of that on a mental level than before.

Something I tell myself on a pretty regular basis is “Don’t stop.” I say this because I firmly believe that we can all hit our goals as long as we never stop pushing. It might take forever, but we will get there eventually! Let’s do this Eric! đŸ™‚
